Researcher Position at Hertford Arts Hub

Starts March 2019

This is a part time, short term contract funded by grants received from Heritage Lottery Fund and Hertfordshire County Council

Researcher will contact individuals in preparation for audio interviewer’s visit for stories for Oral History digital audio recordings about Hertford’s local artist Alan Davie (1935-2014 and stories about McMullan’s employees

Working with and reporting to Project Leader Dr Mike Howarth


Essential: Interest in history, in the arts, in the spoken world, and in working with people.

Desirable: Good administration skills

Support available:

  • Radio journalist skills.
  • BBC programme researcher methods.
  • Training in briefing people in Oral history interview process and supporting technical team.
